Creativity is the #1 Skill for the Future. It Starts in the Meadow.

Training the Observational Mind from Elementary to Graduation.

Global research confirms that Creativity is now the most-desired asset for advanced careers, especially in STEM. But creativity isn’t a "gift" you’re born with—it’s a skill built through a professional foundation of observation and critical thinking.

At Art Day, we use the BFA Professional Artist Method to turn your child’s natural wonder into a strategic advantage.

We start in the early years by teaching our Elementary students how to truly see like an artist. Instead of follow-the-leader crafts, we use nature to build the focus and pattern-recognition skills that are the literal "building blocks" of a creative brain.

This foundation grows with your family. By Middle School, students apply these principles to complex subjects—like the depth and color logic in our Poppy Field study (pictured above).

"As a BFA artist who has homeschooled my own children from preschool through high school graduation, I know that art is the 'innovation lab' of the home. We aren't just raising artists; we are raising the next generation of creative thinkers.

Give them the elementary start they love and the future-proof skills they deserve.

  • Elementary: Gentle, nature-focused exploration and color theory.  We introduce the same professional elements, principles, and drawing techniques used by the pros. Through age-appropriate projects—like our Oak Leaf Crayon Resist—we build foundational habits of observation and creative confidence.

  • Middle School: Increased skill-building.  Students apply those core principles to more complex compositions, such as our Poppy Field Study, diving deeper into color logic and visual depth.

From the Gallery to Your Kitchen Table: Meet Jessica Lannine

I’m Jessica Lannine, and I believe that every child’s natural wonder is the perfect starting point for a real art education. My mission is to take the same fine art methods I use in the studio and translate them into age-appropriate lessons that help your students see and record the beauty of the world around them.

As a BFA professional artist and a veteran homeschool mom of 18 years, I know that those early drawings and paintings are treasures. I’ve designed Art Day to give you the best of both worlds: the joy of creative exploration and a solid foundation in professional technique. Whether I’m exhibiting in a local gallery—like this show where I recently sold 8 paintings—or filming a new lesson for your family, I am dedicated to helping your students build the confidence to create art they are truly proud of.

Growing Family

Investing in the Foundations to Studio Journey ensures your children have a professional fine art education for every milestone—from their first observational leaf study to their advanced technical skill-building.

The "Lifetime" Perk: A One-Time Investment

When you secure your Journey, you aren't "renting" videos for a season. You are establishing a permanent fine art library for your home.

  • One Investment, Every Child: Whether you have two children or five, this serves every student you ever homeschool. The cost-per-child drops every year you use it.
  • Zero-Pressure Learning: Life happens. With Lifetime Access, you don't have to stress if a busy month keeps you away from the studio. Your lessons will be waiting exactly where you left off.
  • The Sibling Advantage: This investment serves the student ready for middle school techniques and the younger sibling just starting their artistic foundation.

Lifetime access refers to the life of the product. Should Art Day Studio ever retire this curriculum, users will be given 30 days' notice to download any permanent reference materials (like the 76-page Drawing Manual).

The 7-Element Framework

Moving Beyond "Follow-Along" Art

Most art tutorials teach students how to copy a single drawing. My elementary and middle school curriculum is different. I teach a proven 7-element framework that gives students the "alphabet" of art, giving them the tools to express their existing creativity with more skill and intention.

By mastering these core foundations, students gain the confidence to tackle any medium—from still life drawing and nature-inspired prints to 3D paper sculptures. We focus on:

  • Foundational Skill: Learning the basics of line, value, and the illusion of depth in a way that makes sense to kids.

  • Observation: Training the eye to see shapes and details in the world around them.

  • Creative Growth: Using these elements to refine their own unique style and create projects they are proud to display.

This isn't just a craft hour; it’s a structured art education that prepares your student to express themselves with real skill and confidence.
