The Nature-Inspired Art Curriculum for Homeschool Families
Taught by a BFA Artist & Veteran Homeschool Mom
Fine Art Education, Rooted in the Natural World
Simplifying complex artistic foundations for homeschooling families.
Certified Safe & Expertly Guided
As a proud ACMI Ambassador and with my background as a certified K-12 art teacher, I am committed to using and recommending materials that are non-toxic when used as intended by humans and high-quality. You can trust that every project in this collection is designed with your child’s safety and success in mind.
Professional Foundations, Simplified
My curriculum is built on the foundations of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting and Education. With my background as a certified K-12 art teacher and years of classroom experience, I have transitioned from traditional schools to focus exclusively on empowering homeschooling families with professional-grade instruction.
I’ve spent my career simplifying complex artistic concepts into clear, foundational steps that any student can master. You aren’t just getting "follow-along" videos; you are getting a proven framework designed by a professional educator to ensure real artistic growth.

Meet Jessica
Artist, Educator, and Veteran Homeschooling Mom
My daughter, an award-winning artist, is the "proof of concept" for the very methods I teach. I don't just teach art foundations; I have lived them at the kitchen table for nearly two decades. Today, I sell my original paintings professionally, ensuring that the techniques I pass on to your family are the same ones used in a working studio.
My mission is to help you bypass the "messy middle" and give your children the fine art foundations they need to express themselves with confidence from kindergarten through graduation.
The 7-Element Framework
Moving Beyond "Follow-Along" Art
Most art tutorials teach students how to copy a single drawing. My curriculum is different. I teach a proven 7-element framework that gives students the "alphabet" of art, giving them the tools to express their existing creativity with more skill and intention.
By mastering these core foundations, students gain the confidence to tackle any medium—from still life drawing and nature-inspired prints to 3D paper sculptures. We focus on:
Foundational Skill: Learning the basics of line, value, and the illusion of depth in a way that makes sense to kids.
Observation: Training the eye to see shapes and details in the world around them.
Creative Growth: Using these elements to refine their own unique style and create projects they are proud to display.
This isn't just a craft hour; it’s a structured art education that prepares your student to express themselves with real skill and confidence.

Where Foundations Meet Creative Vision
Fostering Technical Skill and Original Expression

Recognition of Excellence: My daughter is a primary example of what is possible when technical foundations meet a lifelong commitment to creative freedom. Having homeschooled her from kindergarten through her upcoming graduation, I have been her only art teacher, guiding her through the same 7-element framework I share with my students today.
At the annual FabFest in Charlotte, NC, her work demonstrated such a unique creative interpretation and high degree of skill that it transformed the competition itself. Previously, the top student award was 1st place; however, the judges were so struck by the caliber of her entry that they established an inaugural student "Best in Show" category—complete with a $200 prize—to recognize the professional standard she exhibited.
While every student’s journey is individual, her success illustrates the level of imaginative work these foundations are designed to support. I am honored to share these same tools with our online community, helping every student find and express their own creative voice.
I am honored to share my professional expertise and my heart for homeschooling with your family. I’ve seen firsthand how the right foundation can turn a "spark" into a lifelong creative flame—and I can’t wait to help your child find theirs.
I’ll see you in the studio,
Jessica Lannine, BFA

From "I Can’t Draw That" to "I Can’t Believe I Made That!"
Many parents worry that art is a "natural talent" you're either born with or you're not. But I believe that great art is simply the result of a great process.

Take my Royal Walnut Moth project, for example. By breaking down complex biological textures and shapes into simple, manageable steps, I empower your child to create work they are truly proud to display.

My method focuses on clear, gentle instruction that builds technical skill without the frustration. I don't just teach kids what to draw—I teach them how to see like an artist.
Because they're only young for now.
